The Duotone Slick is designed by the manufacturer as a wing for freeride and freestyle. The 2024 version also has a continuous boom, which is designed to enable millimetre-precise gripping and maximum freedom in manoeuvres and freestyle tricks. Compared to the predecessor model (HERE there's a review of the predecessor model), designer Ken Winner (HERE there's a story) have adapted the panel layout and the shape of the front tube, the wingtips are now slimmer in design. As a result, the new Slick 2024 should offer better pressure point stability in gusts and also "flag" better on the wave - i.e. fly neutrally behind it.
The Duotone slick is available in eight sizes (3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5/5.0/5.5/6.0 and 6.5 square metres). In addition to the "normal" slick, the model is also available in two other variants: With the slick Concept Blue has dispensed with coloured cloth materials, which should above all drastically reduce the use of pollutants and water consumption during production (HERE there's an interview about the background). The prices of both versions are the same, ranging from 969 to 1149 euros depending on the size, excluding the Boom. However, anyone switching from a previous version to the new Wing will be able to continue using their old Boom.
The Duotone Slick Wing will also be available in an Aluula version, E/LAB called. The wing design of this version is no different from the other two versions, but it is made from the well-known, high-strength Aluula material. This should make the wing even stiffer, more pressure point stable and lighter in the hand. The downside of this design is the price: the E/LAB costs between € 1979 and € 2209, depending on the size. The Slick E/LAB is produced in seven sizes (3.5/4.0/4.5/5.0/5.5/6.0 and 6.5 square metres).
