The Cabrinha Track Nut Train allows you to save the foil position for the next session and speed up assembly. We have tried out the system and tell you which foils it works for and what the limitations are.

The correct position of the foil is essential for relaxed foiling (HIER for tips on finding the right position). All the better if you can then save your painstakingly worked out ideal position until the next session - this saves time and ensures that you can have fun on the water again straight away. With the Track Nut Train (price: 70 euros), manufacturer Cabrinha offers a clever solution to ensure exactly this.

With the Cabrinha Track Nut Train, the track nuts are firmly connected to each other at a distance of 14 centimetres. The two carriages are inserted into the box and the position of the track nuts can now be fixed using a small Allen pin. The advantage: the track nuts cannot slip during assembly and the favourite position remains stored after disassembly. Another advantage is that the track nuts always sit exactly under the holes in the mounting plate. This saves a lot of fiddling, especially with foils where the screws on the mounting plate cannot be inserted from the side.

However, there is one restriction: The Cabrinha Track Nut Train is only made for foils with a hole spacing of 14 centimetres, only then will the track nuts be exactly under the holes of the mounting plate when tightened. Before buying this tool, you should therefore measure the hole spacing on your own foil (measure from hole centre to hole centre!) to avoid any nasty surprises. Some manufacturers also use hole spacings of 13.5 or 16.5 centimetres - there are also solutions for this, such as the Locking T-Nuts or the FoilFix-system. We have compiled the links for you below.
