The opening day of the PWA World Cup in Tenerife began relatively quietly with registration and the first skippers meeting. After an almost windless start to the day, the wind gradually picked up, attracting some eager riders onto the water. But unfortunately the conditions were not suitable for competition, so the official competition was put on ice at around 5 pm.
The forecast for today looks a little better, even with a slight increase in swell. The first women's heats have just started.

Team Germany
With more than 14 German participants, Team Germany is well positioned at the PWA World Cup in Tenerife.
With Lina Erpenstein and Julian Salmonn, two title contenders are even represented. Just as nice to see is the number of youngsters among the Germans. For example, the young "surf guys" are also there, Marlon and Leon Maethnerwhich we recently presented here. Two freestylers, Lisa Kloster and Elena Dominick, who have just come back from the World Cup in Fuerteventura, have also signed up for their first wave event in Tenerife.
