Inflatable boards are not only popular with wingfoil newcomers. Inflatablespopular. Those who value a compact pack size when travelling or transporting in the car usually cannot avoid inflatables.
The Duotone Sky Air comes with a rucksack on wheels that offers enough storage space for the board, pump, all accessories, wing and foil. The board is available in three sizes: In 5'5" (105 litres), 5'9" (125 litres) and 7'2" (200 litres). In order to achieve the best possible power transmission, the foil sits on a stiff carbon plate. A glued tear-off edge at the tail is designed to ensure a clean water break when starting off and prevent the board from getting stuck on the surface of the water.
The model has inserts, so foot straps can also be fitted, and a carrying handle is also integrated into the underwater hull. According to the manufacturer, the Sky Air was manufactured, "in a double layer technology for maximum stiffness and durability. Our boards achieve exceptional durability through a heat-welding process at the edges that mechanically bonds the top and bottom layers. This method eliminates the need for glue along the edges, prevents potential leaks and provides unrivalled strength and durability"assures Duotone.
In addition to the double rail for the foil, the 7'2'' size with a volume of 200 litres has been equipped with fin boxes for side fins. This means that the board can also be used without a foil, which is a great advantage when practising in light winds - the fins reduce lateral drift enormously. The three sizes of the Sky Air, including accessories, are available for 999 euros.
