With the Multisport, Sport Vibrations was one of the pioneers of SUPs with an additional windsurfing option and even the possibility of upgrading the board to a kayak with an optional seat. With a length of more than eleven feet, the board pushes into the category of SUPs suitable for touring and with a width of only 31 inches, the paddling feel is actually fast and quite sporty. The lightweight board is not one of the stiffest boards among the soles, but with a thickness of six inches it is also stiff enough for paddlers and surfers of all weight classes.
The two fins provide good windsurfing characteristics. Because the mast bracket is positioned very far forward, it drops well and turns well into the jibe, but some advanced technique is helpful when luffing to tack, and the sail should not be smaller than 5.5 square metres for effective steering. In multisport, the focus is on fast touring - with muscle power or wind energy - rather than manoeuvring. As a SUP board, it also appeals to paddlers who are at least slightly sporty and want to make faster progress.
Conclusion on the Sport Vibrations Multisport
A slim, sporty-looking touring board for sails and paddles.
