Easy to control, gliding and easy to jibe - the Duotone Eagle appeals to a broad target group from intermediates to dedicated freeriders who can do without absolute top performance.

Effortless yet lively - the Eagle surfs effortlessly. With the Eagle, Duotone is providing the somewhat more demanding Blast with a board that appeals much more to intermediates and pleasure freeriders. The board is subjectively very fast and willingly gives up its performance from planing to top speed. The underwater hull looks quite unspectacular with a flat V in the tail and a double concave V under the bow, only with a little more V than the Duotone Blast and also a slight rocker (tail bend) of two millimetres - compared to the flat tail of its brand companion.

The pads, which are thin under the toes and doubled under the heels, are complemented by very comfortable straps. These can be mounted in two different four-person set-ups, whereby the outer position is also increasingly designed for comfortable freeriding and good manoeuvrability, rather than maximum performance, which in turn fits in very well with the overall concept.

The board also glides early and easily without falling off and without technical finesse, doesn't fly quite as high over the water as the Blast in race mode, but smoothly absorbs the slight wave contact and glides very stably, making it easy to control. The deck contour is rounded at the back so that both strap positions fit ergonomically well, even if the board cannot be pressed as easily as with straps on the outside of the rail. This costs a little performance at the top end of the rev range, but the board still glides with a sporty feel and is refreshingly lively.

Things get really lively in jibes: even with just a little foot pressure, the "Adler" enables surfers of all weight classes to perform almost every conceivable variation - from majestically wide radii to tight turns in attack mode. Always with good grip, inherently stable cornering and high speed at the exit of the turn - and not just in mirror-smooth water, but also in difficult conditions.

Duotone Eagle - the conclusion

The Duotone Eagle appeals to intermediate to dedicated freeriders who are looking for a comfortable and easy-to-surf board with good planing and great jibe characteristics and don't want to surf with straps right at the limit.
