The variety of types from the F2 brand is almost unmanageable, so you can find the Glide 10'8" in numerous designs and combinations with sails or wings on Amazon or ebay at very different (set) prices. The test board is a little out of the ordinary on land due to its strongly curved shape, but underfoot it is just as stiff on the water as you would expect from a board of this class. Nevertheless, the upturned nose carries it high above the water and the tail also protrudes slightly upwards.
This is one of the reasons why it runs the worst straight when paddling, but turns very well - both when SUPing and windsurfing. If you go far back on the extremely wide tail, it remains stable and allows for tight turns. The very thin centre fins (identical to the tail fin) sit a little wobbly in the boxes, but inhibit the drift sufficiently so that even intermediates can practice well on the board and should be able to get back safely.
Conclusion on the F2 Glide Surf
In terms of features such as the fins, the F2 looks a little simpler, but works well as an intermediate board or for children. As an all-rounder SUP, it is only suitable for short distances; touring is not on the agenda, partly because it is exceptionally wide.
very light and easy to turn
curved shape, very wide
very thin, flexible fins
