Impressions of the EM
Some of the races took place on courses similar to the canoeing disciplines, which led to participant feedback ranging from "well organised" to "too sterile". From a German perspective, there were also great results for the youngsters and a very pleasing silver medal for the men.

For Ole Schwarz as the new European runner-up (behind Manuel Hoyuela from Spain) in the long distance, focussing on the longer distances has paid off. Bastian Grimm completed the result with a great fifth place. Skadi Langbein was able to show her strength in numerous women's categories and even paddled to a pleasing podium place in the youth class on the long distance. Marlon Daskiran also managed to do the same in the male youth category. In the masters category, Martin Teichmann paddled to second place among the men of the correspondingly older age groups.
