Traditionally, the DaCurve designed more elongated. Rather large in terms of volume, the board is one of the narrowest boards on the market. Nevertheless, the Thruster glides smoothly and without a noticeable threshold, the gliding position is sporty and free, without lacking the necessary control in chop. Some testers found the thickly padded pads in the heel area and the comparatively narrow straps took some getting used to.
When riding waves, we were particularly impressed by the shape's outstanding carving qualities: The DaCurve can be edged with little power and then pulls through the bottom turn on the rail with great control - annoying chop is simply ignored. Even if the board doesn't have the most variable turning characteristics compared to the competition, it can still be steered precisely and quite radically towards the lip of the wave. On cutback, the tail offers plenty of grip - ideal for powerful carved turns over the entire edge, less good for slides and takas.
surf conclusion: The bigger or rougher the waves, the stronger the DaCurve! Perfect carving meets convincing planing and lots of control. The DaBomb could offer more potential for short hooks on the Baltic Sea and wave beginners.
