What does one of the best windsurfers in the world do when he has to sit at home injured? Exactly the same as everyone else - watching series. Philip Köster's current favourite series is "The Office" in the original English version with Ricky Gervais, as he revealed to Ben Proffitt in the live chat of the PWA stream. As there is once again no wind on Sylt today and therefore nothing to comment on, Ben Proffitt met the six-time world champion for a chat via video chat.
Of course, many questions centred on the injury: when will he be fit again, how is he working on his comeback? But beyond that, Köster was more open than ever about many exciting details: How big his boards are, which moves he wants to work on soon, what his setup looks like.
They also talked about the Triple Loop for a long time: "I was ready for it this year!" Köster announced and talked about training and the special challenges of the race for the mega move. An exciting talk - you can watch it above!
Today was another involuntary rest day on Sylt itself - hardly any wind, so there was no prospect of racing. That should change tomorrow. Around 20 knots from the west-south-west are forecast - the question will then be: "Enough for wave riding - or would you rather slalom?" Whether the shore break is passable with foils will also play a role.
