The popular Everyman Wing CompetitionWinger of the Sea (WOTS) starts from13 - 14 May 2023 at the campsite in Grönwohld. At the WOTS III, the two standard disciplines of slalom and freestyle will be contested.
In addition to lots of test material from main partner Vayu, other material from Sabfoil and others will also be provided for all participants to test free of charge. Thanks to the simple format, the entry barriers are set as low as possible and everyone is welcome to spend a weekend with like-minded people. Entertainment away from the competition zone is also provided with a BBQ and a raffle where everyone wins a prize. If there is not enough wind for official competitions, a pump-oil table is also available as an alternative to the doldrums.
The Winger of the Sea III is the first of several events organised by the two main organisers Oliver Tom Schliemann and Leon Delle this year. The team has been expanded for the coming season to include Lina Erpenstein and Yannick Mittas. In 2023, in addition to the competitions, there will also be various camp offers such as the WOTS Girls Camp from 14 - 17 September in Hemmelmark.

What is the Winger of the Sea?
Anyone who would like to compete with others in wingfoiling is welcome at the Winger of the Sea events. The aim is to make it as easy as possible to get a taste of the regatta scene. Fun on the water and on land takes centre stage. Hobby surfers are expressly welcome - the WOTS is not an event where only pros compete.

- 21 October:Downwinger II, Eckernförde
The Downwinger is a downwinder in Eckernförde Bay, with Grönwohld being the destination in 2022. At the camps, participants can develop their skills together with experienced coaches, and fun is not neglected here either.
