Test 2021: Harness ION Radium Select
Hard shell, soft core - that's how you could describe the new ION Radium TS Select. It was developed by the slalom and foil team riders Vincent Langer and Jordy Vonk.

The firm plastic outer shell and the high cut ensure a high level of back support. However, the Radium Select is not as hard as the carbon-look shell might suggest, and the well-padded and cosy interior in particular ensures a high level of comfort. The harness is equipped with the Spectre Bar, an aluminium hook system that sits on a large and well-padded plate. As a result, the forces generated are well distributed across the body, with hardly any noticeable pressure points on the ribs, even in the event of skidding falls and long strokes with camber sails. The closure system of the Spectre Bar appears to be extremely solid, only the small pull strap requires a firm grip to open.

surf conclusion: If you're looking for a harness that combines a high level of comfort with basic characteristics that aren't too soft, the ION Radium Select is the perfect choice. The only drawback: the price for the harness (379.95 euros) or the Spectre Bar hook plate (159.95 euros), which can be ordered separately, is quite high!
