The Vayu Aura X is set to define a new standard in the world of wingfoiling, according to the manufacturer's announcement at the official launch of the new top model. For the first time, Vayu is using Aluula, the premium material for particularly light and stiff tubes. These can then have a smaller diameter, which should make the wing particularly light and easy to handle.
Whether for carving waves, freestyle manoeuvres, downwinders or high top speeds, Vayu has designed the Aura X as the "ultimate companion for every wingfoiler". The wing should therefore feel very direct and be easy to neutralise. Compared to the Vayu V3 ( HERE there's a test), the Aura X has a higher aspect ratio - the wing therefore has a wider span and is significantly more elongated. You can choose between soft handles or carbon mini booms for the grips.
We were able to test the Vayu Aura X in spring. In our opinion, the wing offers playfully easy handling and maximum neutrality when riding swell and surf waves. The Vayu Aura X is an absolute recommendation in combination with fast high-aspect wings and for all those who are looking for a maximum light wing for manoeuvres and wave riding. The Aura X has a wide range of uses, the wing scores as a light freerider, wave specialist and also for tricks.
