"Road trains" - these are the seemingly endlessly long Australian trucks. They follow the highway in a dead straight line for thousands of kilometres. You probably wouldn't want to park them. This is also how the 13'6'' "Downwind" from Croslake runs compared to the touring 12'6''s tested.

You can't paddle longer on one side on any board; the long, stretched outline keeps you on track even at high speeds. With a width of only 27 inches, the board feels a little more wobbly, but it allows you to cut through long distances and there is also plenty of space for luggage on deck. In crossbow turns, the board turns a little more sluggishly, for kick turns you have to go backwards to the end of the pad. Tip: The "Downwinder" is a fast, very stable distance board for fitness and touring, for paddlers with some experience.
