Here, the signs point to maximum performance in the form of the high-quality carbon fin. At first glance, the shape appears unspectacular, with a slight, flat V in the tail - and also in the area under the front straps and under the mast track. The straps - which are wider than average - are soft and comfortable underfoot. Although the board edges are steep at the tail, the feet are still comfortable. The volume is very harmoniously distributed.
When planing, the board is stable in the water, then transitions quite tamely into planing and then, supported by the high-quality fin, utilises every gust efficiently in the entire mid and upper wind range. Acceleration and speed rating are in the top group on all courses. It flies very freely over the water, but also requires body tension and good board feel to keep the nose stable at the bottom. Concentrated and slightly tilted on the leeward edge, the speed rush quickly comes up, which can also be seen on the speedometer.
At the upper limits or in very wavy conditions, it is no longer one of the most comfortable boards, and the very good performance can only be called up with advanced riding skills. The jibing characteristics are similar: the board requires active guidance, but then glides through properly.
