Wingsurfing - you can do it without a foil. In light winds, it's also fun to cruise across the water on a longboard or SUP. The only problem is that if you're not using a wind SUP with a centre fin or a folding daggerboard, but a normal SUP, you'll often have problems keeping your height in light winds and crossing against the wind. For this purpose, the manufacturer Slingshot offers the SUP Winder (119 euros), a box to stick on, in which a centre fin can then be mounted.
Originally, the system was only developed for hardboards, but Slingshot now also recommends the product for sticking onto inflatable SUPs. The product makes a solid impression, the 3M adhesive film holds very well from experience with other products. The fin has a huge surface area, almost like a real centreboard - in our experience this should work well for windsurfing and wings in light winds. The fin itself is removable, the box remains firmly glued to the board.Tip: When rolling in the board, do not fold it directly on the box! If you prefer a solution where the drift inhibitor can be completely removed, you should also consider the Drift Stopper add-on.
