Short test 2019: foot straps from I-99
The manufacturer I-99 promises that its NeoPro Footstraps are "80 per cent lighter than normal straps". The straps weigh 110 grams when wet, whereas a conventional strap weighs between 200 and 220 grams when wet.

With a board fitted with four loops, you save around 400 grams. Whether this is worth 36.90 euros per strap is up to you to decide. The I-99 straps are lighter because they don't have a multi-layer adjustment mechanism and use a lightweight neoprene material. Using the plastic plates supplied, you can fit the straps to your feet - there are five adjustment positions. These fit well barefoot for shoe sizes from 38 to 48. To adjust the size, however, you always have to adjust the screws. In terms of comfort, the NeoPro Footstraps, which are available in seven colours, are in no way inferior to other straps; they are absolutely soft and very supple.
