Very good tight turning characteristics when you press tightly into the turn with a little more foot pressure and there is never any risk of hopping out of the turn, or the easy controllability - even in strong winds the board runs without suddenly rising or causing other problems. The tool for gliding through wide race jibes on the rail at full speed jammed a little during the test, the 3S goes through the jibe with the nose raised rather than flat on the rail and pulls tight when more pressure is applied. On the other hand, the board simply encourages 360s, jumps or even an air jibe. In speed duels, the board keeps up well in flat water, over the chop it doesn't run quite as freely and is therefore not as fast as the "slalom projectiles".
surf tip:The opposite pole to the Starboard Futura: small-looking, handy and manoeuvrable, even in strong winds. A good all-rounder without any noticeable weaknesses for surfing fun in a wide range of conditions.
