Test 2017: Freerideboard Goya Volar 130
With the Volar 130, Goya also has a freeride model in its programme. We were curious to see how much flat water performance it has.

On land the board lies like a flattened yeast dumpling - with a rounded outline, flat deck and very little bend in the nose. The strap plugs enable a real upright position in the centre and a not too extreme, sporty and comfortable freeride set-up with four straps.

On the water the board impresses with very fluid planing, is stable in the water and is very easy to surf. In the comparison duel, it keeps up well with the fastest freeriders in terms of speed, free and slightly dampened. Even at top speed, the control remains impeccable, the flat planing board flies over the chop without becoming unsteady. Beginners will enjoy this, ambitious freeriders will get a lot of performance out of it. With fast, stable gliding in the jibe and a light feel underfoot, the very light Volar completes the successful overall impression.
