Trimming trick! How to build a trimming aid for windsurfing sails
Sometimes you have to do a lot of hard work when trimming - women and young people often bite their teeth out when it comes to the high luff tension. A small trimming aid for windsurfing sails makes it easy from now on - and all without knots.

Of course, there are trim cranks and extensions with a ratchet - but not everyone always has these to hand. Good advice is expensive, especially if you just want to trim quickly. With a small sling, you can use your harness hook as a trimming aid, for example. This can be done in seconds and without knots - and at the end, the sling disappears again as if by magic.

And this is how it's done:

Make a loop with the rope so that the end of the rope is at the topMake a loop with the rope so that the end of the rope is at the topFold the loop upwardsFold the loop upwards
Reach through the loop...Reach through the loop......and pull the rope through to the top. Into the resulting eyelet......and pull the rope through to the top. And the best thing: if you remove the hook from the loop and pull on the end of the rope, the eyelet disappears again as if by magic!...and pull the luff through. Try it out!

By the way: A good extension also reduces the trimming forces. HERE there's a test of 51 models.
