Carlos Kiefer Quintana
The 16-year-old German-Spanish rider dominates his age group in the Wave World Cup, just like his older sister Alexia before him. With the other young pozo locals around Liam Dunkerbeck and Marino Gil, the sky seems to be the limit for him - at least his double loops already have a considerable height - Philip Köster sends his regards!
Bobbi-Lynn de Jong, Lone de Jong, Kit de Jong
The three sisters with Dutch roots live on Bonaire and are fully committed to windsurfing with their family. Bobby-Lynn (14) surprised everyone with an impressive performance in hardcore conditions at the PWA slalom on Fuerte in 2023. Her little sisters (both 12) are already hot on her heels. At their home Youth World Cup on Bonaire, the de Jongs took first, second and fourth place - there is still a lot to come.
Benedikt Emser
The 17-year-old from Lake Constance is already fully committed to foil slalom. In spring, he won the Youth World Cup in Aruba in the U-21 category and won six out of eight eliminations. In 2022, he was runner-up in the U-17 foil slalom world championship. He is trying to find sponsors for his future career via his website benediktemser.com.
Leander Halm and Bijou Shahmirian
Leander (15) and Bijou (16) are fully committed to freestyle. "Slalom is boring and the Double Air Culo is the meaning of life," says Leander from St. Wendel. His great role model is Lennart Neubauer. Bijou, who was born in Australia, lives in Munich and competes for Austria, has already had his first successes in the adult World Cup. The two meet regularly on holiday in Bonaire.
Alexia Kiefer Quintana, Tobias Bjørnå, Tom Pansard
The Duotone Youth Team has some high-calibre riders with great potential in its ranks. Alexia (19) and Carlos Kiefer-Quintana (16) live with their German father on Gran Canaria and both have what it takes to become world champions - and not just in the youth classes. Tobias Bjørnå (18) has a prominent father and sponsor in Klitmøller legend Mads Bjørnå. Although 15-year-old Tom Pansard from near Carro in the south of France has not yet made a big international name for himself, he is definitely a youngster to keep an eye on.
Sol Degrieck
The 14-year-old Belgian's windsurfing genes definitely run in the family. Her mother surfed in three Olympic Games and even in the Wave World Cup on Sylt at the end of the 1990s. Sol regularly wins in her age group at the PWA Youth World Cups, but has also given some established cuppers a run for their money in the adult category.
