Bobo Gallagher loves wingsurfing, SUP and kitesurfing.
Bobo Gallagher is just twelve years old and could soon be following in the footsteps of watermen legends such as Robby Naish and Kai Lenny. In the new video format "Fanatic Waterman Series", we get to know the young Hawaiian and his environment better.

Bobo Gallagher crossed the Alenuihaha Channel at the tender age of eleven, making him the youngest surfer to do so. To conquer the channel, you have to cover 65km between the main island of Hawaii and the neighbouring island of Maui. The current seems to be quite strong, but Bobo managed the crossing on his wing equipment in around three hours. In addition, Bobo has raised $4521 to date for Charity Water and thus provided clean drinking water for people who had previously been denied access.

This video impressively demonstrates that Bobo is not only very good on the wingsurfer. Bobo is already being coached and his management is being taken care of in order to juggle all of this. On the one hand, this is very pleasing, as it means Bobo can concentrate fully on his water sports and is slowly being prepared for life as a professional waterman. On the other hand, it also raises the critical question of the extent to which a child can still be a child when the path seems almost predetermined...
