Travel Tiger was founded by the Truma Group, an established specialist for camping accessories. According to its own statements, the start-up aims to "revolutionise the market for mobile car camping systems." The principle is well known: A normal everyday car is transformed into a small camping mobile by means of suitable fittings. The first products in the company's range are the "Schlofe" camping bed and the "Koche" camping kitchen. Both are designed to be used not only when camping, but also at home.
"Thanks to a mattress with integrated slatted frame, the bed offers sleeping comfort just like at home," promises Travel Tiger. The bed frame made of sturdy but lightweight aluminium is said to weigh just 15 kg and can be assembled and disassembled by one person. At home, the bed can then be used as a guest bed, for example.
The "Koche" kitchen can also be used at home in the garden or on the balcony as well as when travelling. "At just 6.5 kg, the camping kitchen is also a lightweight. With its small transport dimensions of 102 x 13.5 x 51 cm, it can be stowed away quickly and hardly takes up any space. When set up, it is 82 cm high, so outdoor fans can cook comfortably while standing up."
Both products are currently ideally suited to high-roof estate cars. However, according to the manufacturer, they can also be used in other vehicles. The rear seat bench does not have to be removed, so seats and storage space are retained.
The camping modules from Travel Tiger can be ordered in the online shop. If you would like to see the modules live, you can meet the team at a number of events over the course of the summer.
