Mobile phone holster
Lucky Luke shoots faster than his shadow - with the Vacuum Tex Base plus from Fidlock, the duel is at least worth a try. The holder can be attached to various straps, for example to a hydration pack or bag. The waterproof mobile phone cover then attaches to it with a flick of the wrist and is just as quickly "pulled out" again. The size L cover shown here does not float when loaded with a mobile phone; we only achieved sufficient buoyancy with additional bubble wrap - tested in a bucket! The holder on a waterproof bag did not loosen when the board completely capsized. Other mounts, for example for the handlebars, extend the range of use. All information at Fidlock >> available here
Drying chamber
They don't cost the earth, but can save a fortune: handy, waterproof pack sacks in which mobile phones, wallets and car keys can be packed waterproof and floatable, and depending on the size, a set of dry clothes can also fit inside. Cold chamber
Free and cruising floats granted: The waterproof cooler bag from Petromax (119.99 euros) definitely holds six small beers, six sausages and half a litre of curry sauce. The bag made of thick, waterproof coated fabric looks super robust and the particularly thick-walled insulation, supported by ice or cool packs, is designed to maintain the temperature for several days. During an unplanned diving test on our test tour, two patch pockets protected small items such as keys and the like very well against splashing water and even short-term, complete submersion. The inside of the bag is also made of solid, welded PVC, which makes cleaning easier. Various straps are suitable for attaching outdoor gadgets, for lashing or for the carrying strap, and a bottle opener is already attached on delivery. petromax.com >> available here

Camping on board
Camping on board is a popular option on many ferries - you can enjoy the crossing in a campervan on deck. For camping on board, Christoph Manz has developed the Bajao Cabin, an inflatable tent that is set up on the SUP - the sleeping pad is already included. For optimum sleeping comfort, you should probably reduce the pressure a little. However, the tent also costs as much as a ferry ticket including cabin, namely 599 euros. Info at Bajao SUP .
For repair and tuning
It's probably not at the top of your wish list, but it's reassuring to know that there is such a thing: a stick-on fin box. It can be used to replace a defective box, and if you want to upgrade the SUP for practising with a wing with an additional fin in the middle, you can also stick on this box (available as a US box or sliding system). The set includes the box, a PVC sleeve and glue. It is available at a price of 29.95 euros from Sport Vibrations available.
Safety Belt
So the goggles float - and not just in milk. The upbeat neoprene goggle straps fit snugly and ensure a firm hold on the head. If the goggles should slip off during an involuntary swim, the strap provides sufficient buoyancy for most goggles. Seen at SUP specialist GTS: four pieces in two different lengths for 9.90 euros. Darkroom
Too much sun, too much heat - SUP boards are no sun worshippers. High temperatures and UV radiation put a lot of strain on plastics and adhesives: embrittlement and fading are often the result of prolonged exposure to UV radiation. The EVA pads in particular, which ensure a comfortable stance on deck, quickly lose their luminosity. If the board cannot be stored on a boat, on the beach, at the campsite or in other places without shade, the UV protective cover from LiteVenture (69 euros) for iSUPs up to 12'6" x 32" may be an alternative. Frameless all-round visibility
Frameless sunglasses, the size of ski goggles, are not only stylish this summer, but also provide significantly better protection than John Lennon-style mini glasses and offer an almost unrestricted field of vision. A nine-hole ventilation system is designed to prevent fogging, while the nose pads and temple tips can be ergonomically adjusted. A feather-light 43 grams of high-tech on the nose cost 149 euros. Sun protection and support for Ukraine
The two creators of LiteVenture (interview on supmag.de ) are having the new UV protection shirts manufactured in a production facility north of Kiev: "Most of the employees are there, fabrics are also available - it's just the orders from the sports industry and the demand in the country that are missing due to the current situation. We are particularly keen to support these people and hope that they will be able to lead a normal life again as soon as possible." The UV protection shirt is available for 49.90 euros in sizes XS to XXL. Info about LiteVenture .
