Stylish, practical design
As a sports discounter, Decathlon often offers good quality at favourable prices. The electric SUP pump even has a special feature to offer.

General information on electric SUP pumps

A distinction is made between electric SUP pumps with and without a battery. The battery makes a significant difference in terms of weight and price. Models without a battery are usually supplied with power via the car's cigarette lighter.

Advantages of SUP pumps with battery:

  • Can be used anywhere
  • Quickly ready for use on site without cable clutter

Advantages of SUP pumps without battery:

  • More favourable
  • Lighter
  • Ready for use at any time
  • No battery fatigue

There are also models with compressor only and models with fan and compressor in one housing.
For models with compressor and blower the board is first filled with air very quickly using a high air flow (about one minute) and then the device switches to the compressor for high pressure.

Appliances without fan function require significantly longer in the first phase for unpressurised filling.

All electric pumps sometimes cause considerable noise. By inflating at the car park, possibly even with the pump in the car with the door ajar, unnecessary nuisance can be reduced. At some beach access points, use is already expressly prohibited.

Test report SUP pump from Decathlon

The Itiwit SUP pump comes in a compact, elegant design in which the electric cable can be stowed away in the underside and the pressure hose is elegantly wrapped. In addition to the SUP connection, the accessories also include other adapters. The pump starts with a special feature: when switched on, a quiet, integrated fan starts up for cooling. The desired pressure can be set up to 20 psi via the wide display. If the pumping process is then started, the fan unit starts first and takes two minutes ten seconds to fill the reference board (12'6" x 30") - which is comparatively long for the blower unit. Up to this point it is nominally a little louder than the Lidl device, but it has a more pleasant, more whispering, less screeching noise. The compressor then switches on automatically: quite loud and humming like almost all appliances. There is a very wide display on which the desired pressure, the current pressure and the progress are shown graphically. The compressor rattles at 85 dB.
After a quick 9:15 minutes, the board is fully inflated to 15 psi. If you want, you can even set the pump up to 20 psi.

Test results of the Decathlon SUP pump:

Fast pump, even for high pressure, which blows slowly at first, but then picks up considerably with the compressor and stays well under 10 minutes. The second stage is subjectively quite sonorous, but also quite loud.

  • Inflation up to 15 psi (Reference boards 12'6" x 30")9:15 minutes
  • Maximum achievable pressure (measured): 19 psi
  • Volume(measured at a distance of 1 metre):75/84 dB (blower/compressor)
  • Subjectively perceived noise: Fan loud, but rather purring; compressor rather pleasantly humming but very loud. Both as usual: loud, annoying
  • Number of boards per battery charge: Without battery
  • Accessories: Connection to cigarette lighter
