With a large wind range, the sails (here Severne Turbo) also invite you to cruise.

The Severne Turbo 7.5 is also highly recommended for freerace beginners: easy to trim, easy to handle and easy to surf. It remains easy to control even in heavy gusts.

The Turbo is a border crosser between the classes: even when setting it up, it shows real freeride qualities with low trim forces - even if you sometimes have to deal with cambers jumping off again if the intermediate tension on the luff is not optimal. And the second freeride virtue already comes into its own during the first planing duels: the sail seems much lighter than a Point-7, for example. In light wind trim with low outhaul tension, it is very neutral, i.e. stable in the hands without load changes, and the foot closes very nicely with the board deck.

Although it hardly loses anything in a duel with the very fast Point-7, it seems more well-behaved, easier to control, gives freerace beginners more confidence and is certainly easier and longer to surf with less effort. A prior visit to the gym is not necessary for the Turbo. This applies up to the strongest gusts, in which it remains easy to control. This is where the slightly more forward pressure point pays off, which takes away a little power in absolute light winds, but gives the sail a very nice easy-racing factor in strong winds. The sail rotates slightly in the jibe, but with a noticeable amount of batten twist on the fairly wide turning path in the bulbous front profile.
