According to the manufacturer, the 3.6/4.0/4.4 and 4.8 square metre sizes break the 3-kilo sound barrier and the 5.2 is only just above it. The Idol Ltd was developed in collaboration with freestyler Adrien Bosson and is said to have been optimised with very short boom dimensions and lots of elasticity for maximum reactivity during diving manoeuvres and power at the push of a button for jumping from the leeward position. The Duotone concept is also optimised for use as a foil style sail.
