A full profile is drawn in as soon as the sail is pulled tight for the first time, which ensures very passable planing performance. Even when switching to switch stance or travelling through wind holes, the sail loads up well and maintains speed excellently. In manoeuvres and rotations, the Pure is one of the better sails in an already strong test group - it is easy to steer. Only the fact that the battens at the front of the mast noticeably change sides is a little annoying in some situations, especially when shovelling.
When ducking, the agile GA Sails needs to be positioned with a little sensitivity and skill, but then it scores with good neutrality and, above all, a lot of lift on the take-off. This is surprising because you wouldn't necessarily have expected such power eruptions from Burner or Kono given the rather flat profile at the front.
Surf summary of the GA Sails Pure 4.8
The GA Sails Pure is pure fun for all ambitious trick riders. Planing power, control, handling and neutrality are consistently at a high level - the result is a freestyle all-rounder without any weaknesses.
