Freemoveboards like the Fanatic Freewave are ideal for bump & jump, manoeuvring fun and big jumps: from Lake Garda to Hindeloopen or Heiligenhafen.

The Fanatic Freewave TE 115 in the individual evaluation with all strengths and weaknesses and in comparison to other freemoveboards 2023.

With almost zero rocker, very little V in the area from the straps to the bow and the large single fin, the Freewave appears to be much more designed for flat water than the smaller models under 100 litres. The fin boxes are - probably for good turning with the thruster set - very far back, so that the special single series fin in the power box head is offset extra forwards. You stand very comfortably in soft loops on the domed (heavily rounded) deck.

This matches the extremely comfortable, cushioned and very easy to control characteristics. The board planes well, then accelerates in a measured and controlled manner and retains very good control even at the good and easy to achieve top speed: there is no sporty, crisp freeride feeling. Even light foot pressure allows the Freewave to glide into the jibe - it holds its speed well, doesn't get rattled by bumps in the way, reacts very tolerantly to minor load errors and continues to follow its course. For very tight turns, a lot of power is required - or you can switch to thruster fins straight away.

Easy to jibe, sporty to jibe and the whole thing with little effort: the Feewave is a model student of jibing. It also invites you to go classic freestyle (360s are practically built in), jumps effortlessly and turns well in front of the wave even with the single fin.
