The RRD Power Move 114 Ltd. in the individual evaluation with all strengths and weaknesses and in comparison to other freemoveboards 2023.

The Powermove is brand new and is intended to close the gap between the Freestylewave and Firemove models - it does this very well. At 65 centimetres, the shape is one of the narrower boards and accelerates very quickly with an agile feel underfoot, is one of the best gliders and conveys a sporty freeride feeling right from the start. The planing position always remains quite flat and easy to control - with a sporty, direct feel underfoot. Even when the nose hits a choppy wave. On the one hand, the board encourages you to accelerate, but the pads with a harder edge unfortunately reduce the comfort under the heels, especially on the front strap, which is not good for real racing.

Ascenders will particularly like the planing gybe characteristics. With medium pressure, the board turns willingly, remains stable on the edge and does not change its radius even with slightly reduced or increased foot pressure, which makes it easier to concentrate on the sailing technique. The board retains its speed very well and comes out of every turn damn fast. For tight 360s you would sometimes like to tighten up at the end, but for power jibes this stable, good-natured characteristic is very successful. The board is also suitable for jumped basic freestyle tricks - a classic freemove concept!
