The Tabou 3S Classic 117 in the individual evaluation with all strengths and weaknesses and in comparison to other freemoveboards 2023.

The 3S Classic is already clearly freeride-orientated with just a single fin at the start and is also by far the lightest in the group without the additional boxes. The slightly longer shape glides easily and smoothly and then takes a top position in the freeride classification with a sporty, direct glide. The shape can be used very well in a four-loop set-up, as well as with the three-loop set.

Those who like to surf fast jibes and duck jibes will enjoy very secure grip in the turn and, above all, the best planing potential. Those who are still working on their planing jibes will also get the fullest support from this characteristic. Even slight load changes do not cause the board to deviate from the jibe course - the required foot pressure is just right so that you don't have to push too hard, but get exactly the right feedback. Even with a lot of pressure, the board does not bounce and offers maximum safety.

With plenty of speed, very light weight and good take-off via the long single fin, the Classic also jumps really well. For freestyle and real wave riding, we would recommend the 3S+ due to the thruster fins and the more compact outline. Here's the test! The Tabou Classic remains a highly recommended all-rounder for gliding intermediates and jibe-orientated freeriders with sporty aspirations!
